Assembly coding.

I love assembly coding. I love the ability to say the CPU, do this or that. Its so quick and so painstakingly awesome. Its the masochism equivelent in programming, but I love it so. SPARC assembly is a LOT easier to do than x86 architecture things. Just going through some of it now and I’m enjoying it so far. I’ll post later on the headaches this causes, but I doubt it’ll be that noticeable.

Learning can be so much fun!

Quake4 Modding.

The modding community has been kind of slow regarding the release of Quake4 and its a bit troubling. Activision/Raven did a horrible job with the multiplayer design and it isn’t all that fun to play. The same exists for bots, there are none, which makes getting into Deathmatch practicing impossible. Couple this with physics that are more real, makes it less fun. I’m trying to compose a listing of Quake4 mods right now and its a short one.

  1. Quake 4 Rocket Arena (have a beta)
  2. Quake 4 Fortress (no beta)
  3. Q4MAX (Some versions)
  4. X-Mod (Some Versions)

Okay, just found this website and it has a more exhaustive list.

Bleach

It appears that the worst news has hit me: Bleach has been licensed. No, no, not the clorax brand bleach, but the anime titled Bleach. It has been a very interesting anime up until this point, even though its on a long anti-manga story arc right now, and I wish I could continue to watch it for free. But alas, its been licensed in the US. Now I have to wait for them to dub it (probably horribly) and find someone to air it, which could take years before we see it here in the US. And then even longer to actually get up to the episode that was going to be next: #77. Oh well, it happens. There is always the underground. That is all.

What’s this?!

I’ve updated the style from scratch! Before I had just modified an existing style, but this one is all done by me! I hope you enjoy it, it took me about a week to do it all.
