Credit card hunters

So apparently my credit card number was stolen, how, I don't know. But they rang up 3,000 dollars on it and some of the charges have yet to go through, but I suspect they will. Strangely, I have the card with me, there are no other copies of it, but it was somehow used (swiped) several times when I was working. Luckily, I probably won't b fucked and lose the cash they spent, but its still a strange thing. But it makes me wonder: Has anyone else experienced this type of activity before?

These are the companies that are raping my card:
S*CHECKERS HYP SANDT - SANDTON ZA
PNP MORNINGSIDE GAUTENG ZA
PNP VILLAGE WALK FAM VILLAGE WALK ZA
TOUCHTONE HARROGATE GB
Makro Woodmead Johannesburg ZA

But looking at their merchant names, I really do suspect I didn't make them. Considering that ZA is the country code for Zimbabwe and Most of those are cities in Zimbabwe. But you know.. Apparently I can be in two places at once according to quantum theory *(superposition).

I'll keep posting about this interesting predicament.

Facebook News Feed.

facebook.pngNot many people around the internets use Facebook, but for us elite college students its a great myspace alternative. Its more catered towards college students and college life in general. At MIT they offer you a listing of where someone is on campus (where they last logged in), the interface is much cleaner, you can have unlimited photos, people can share photos and memories. Its just a hell of a lot better than the old myspace model of a bunch of crap flung on a wall and called art. This is more.. De Stijl, very simple and to the point. (Well probably more realism, but eh, De Stijl is cool to say). Back to the point, its like driving a ferrari and everyone else is enjoying their hybrid. Back to the point, facebook is just a lot cooler than myspace, friendster, whatever... But lately people have been moaning and groaning about a new feature, the news feed. Up to the minute reporting on what you're friends are doing is posted up on their page (and yours for your friends to view) and people are going 'apeshit' over this. They don't want their 'friends' to know about when they post images, when they update their profile, when they friend/befriend someone, when they went to class, and new pictures of them drinking beer in class. But I find it great! I think its about time someone keep me up to date on what others are doing and damn't I want some attention to! Oh well, this is more of a rant on how cool I think the feature is.

Note: I wish everyone would use firefox.

Motorcycle Lessons = Done

I have finished the last of my motorcycle classes and have received passing grades in both written and riding portions. I'm really stoked to have made it through riding, its a hell of a lot of fun. Now the next steps are to get a permit, get a bike, and then get a license. Then its cheap gas and many highways miles of excitement! Only money is an issue for me in terms of getting a bike. I'm probably going to have to work for two months to be able to afford something I can actually enjoy riding on city streets. Although cheaper than a car, I have no parental assistance, so I have to work out payments/loans on my own, which is something I'm not too thrilled to try and do. I'd rather just plop down a bunch of cash and be done with it! So, I'm looking around at used bikes. Nothing too fancy and nothing too weak. So the perfect beginner bike! In a year or two when I'm more comfortable riding I'll probably upgrade and get a sick motorcycle that'll ride circles around moving cars! Oh well, time to hit up the craigslist and newspapers. I wonder what stealerships have in terms of nice used motorbikes! I found a nice one that is apparently a really good beginner bike, a Suzuki GS 500. Only $5k new, but I'd want a used one to save some dough. Always other options. Anyways, let me leave with with a picture of the bike I'm speaking of, I like them naked (engine showing) so its good fun!

Aye, it worked!

I am really amazed at how simple this plug in was to install. I tried to do this back in the day when I first started my website to no avail. But with new versions of Wordpress and time, it became a possibility. Trying to install an older 'hack' as they were called involved lots of file editing, lots of function editing, and making sure you had the right file, right version, right line, and that it didn't interfere with your other stuff you had hacked in. One button is all it takes, and they can throw in settings areas and other shit, its amazing. Go Wordpress! Well now I can cross post, but first I need to post. As we all know, that doesn't happen much, so.. See ya next year!

On a side note, I'm really excited about riding a motorcycle now. I took a course in it today around a course and I had a blast. Its not as hard as it seems and is very fun going quick. As a kid I was always riding my bicycle around, down hills, over jumps, to rite aid for some ice cream, all over the place. But going on a motorcycle is a brand new thrill. Going 15 miles per hour even, with the pavement going under your feet, is quite a rush. I can't wait to get going 40-, 50, 60, 112 on one. I have only one more training course, then I can go for my license and then purchase a bike. Its still quite a danger, and I know that, but life's a danger, might as well live it up! Ah well, next step I think is actually purchasing one, getting a permit, then practicing and getting a license. So easy! Oh, did I tell you I also need a new car? Yeah, engine is broken again (NOT MY FAULT!) and the brakes are not anti-locking, so if I have to brake, I could spin, roll, and explode! But I really can't wait to get that car back, I love it so much. Besides the standard POS cars, I'm really looking into getting a GTO, 400HP of pure fury sounds like a blast! Another way to kill myself, but oh so fun! Burnouts anyone? Yeah! (right, I'd baby that car, i baby every car). Besides that one, I've been looking at a Saturn Ion, that new Saturn Aura, Cobalt SS (4dr), and another.. Saturn.. the Sky. Thats a lot of Saturns, and I'll tell you why. I've heard story after story about how people hate Saturns, but they keep running. Even if it burns oil, rattles, catches fire, it probably will still run after that. Plus they're cheap, and with that, it means I can drive that car around until I'm ready to spend even more on a better car, its a good plan. $15k for a 4-door sedan with 170 hp sounds good to me. Not many other cars appeal to me in this price range, and a cheaper car would let me get a motorcycle. Oh wow, thats a long post. School starts in two days, I'll be working at Teradata part-time, don't know my hours yet, its great! Working on the anime site, working on making it cool and releasing it for next years anime expo. I'm sure i'll tell you all about that!

Gotta go!

This show is akin to a circus in my opinion.
