Facebook News Feed.

facebook.pngNot many people around the internets use Facebook, but for us elite college students its a great myspace alternative. Its more catered towards college students and college life in general. At MIT they offer you a listing of where someone is on campus (where they last logged in), the interface is much cleaner, you can have unlimited photos, people can share photos and memories. Its just a hell of a lot better than the old myspace model of a bunch of crap flung on a wall and called art. This is more.. De Stijl, very simple and to the point. (Well probably more realism, but eh, De Stijl is cool to say). Back to the point, its like driving a ferrari and everyone else is enjoying their hybrid. Back to the point, facebook is just a lot cooler than myspace, friendster, whatever… But lately people have been moaning and groaning about a new feature, the news feed. Up to the minute reporting on what you’re friends are doing is posted up on their page (and yours for your friends to view) and people are going ‘apeshit’ over this. They don’t want their friends’ to know about when they post images, when they update their profile, when they friend/befriend someone, when they went to class, and new pictures of them drinking beer in class. But I find it great! I think its about time someone keep me up to date on what others are doing and damn’t I want some attention to! Oh well, this is more of a rant on how cool I think the feature is.

Note: I wish everyone would use firefox.
