I dislike California sometimes.
It seems that California has surpassed the rest of the country in gas prices as we hit the $3/gallon mark again, even surpassing Hawaii. Its kind of strange to me that our state has higher gas prices than an island, where gasoline has to be refined elsewhere and shipped, which probably isn’t cheap (the boat might use it all up!). Wheras we have our own refining facilities and ship it via trucks, which is cheaper, plus we’re connected to all the other states… so… why would the difference be so great? The big difference is that California has a special "blend" of fuel, to help the rest of the country with fresh air. It all blows out of here anyways with that onshore flow. In any event, we also have a special summer blend of fuel, that is even more special.. for some reason. Why the hell do we have to be special. I doubt that this gasoline burns any cleaner. Its probably some refinery in California that paid some congressmen to get this law passed with fake science. Even if it burns cleaner, attaches to smog and turns it into flowers, and washes your car, why can’t they bump up the capacity of the plants! Californians drive everwhere, there are tons of people here. If one of these factories shuts down, which happens often, we’re seriously fucked. Gas will go up to $6! And I’m sure the state will get a ton of extra tax revenue to spend on "road improvements" and other crap none of us ever see. Enough is enough. I’m walking.
Whats that… not enough sidewalks. I can’t walk on the freeway? Wow… Can I have a lift?
