I love this service called Pandora, its basically a service in which you specify a song or an artist you really like and it finds music and creates a playlist that sounds like it that you might enjoy as well. I’ve been using this service off and on for a year it seems, and it always chooses songs that I really like from my limited music collection. There are no ads in between tracks, the page does change pretty interestingly though to display ad content. When a song plays you can rate if you like it, create a new playlist from that track to get more like it, skip over it, get more info on the artist, and even links you to iTunes (don’t use them) and Amazon (they’re a bit better). Its sometimes hit and miss, but a lot of the time with more obscure artists it is right on. I typed in Phoenix and I have gotten a few strange songs, but a lot of music that is similar and enjoyable. I really suggest it to anyone looking to try new things.
